Sun ovens are a way to cook without using any fuel!

Games That Give - play games, feed the hungry!

Now you can play for the cause!

More than 20 of the most popular "casual" games, all absolutely free, are now available here from The Hunger Site. The more you play, the more you can help fight hunger!

How does it work?

Games that Give provide a simple, free, and fun way to help the hungry by playing some of the most popular "casual games" of all time. The games contain sponsor advertising, and 70% of that advertising is donated to fight hunger.

Everybody wins!

The Hunger Site's charity partners get funding to help the hungry, sponsors get good advertising, and you get to play fantastic classics like Solitaire, Gems, Snake, Memory, and more!

*If you are having problems viewing the games, you may need to download

the latest version of Adobe Flash Player . Note that Games That Give^TM

may be unavailable to international users due to technical restrictions.

About A Nut in a Nutshell:
My name is Elizabeth, better known in the blog world as blueviolet. My blog is A Nut in a Nutshell and I have been blogging since October 2008.

I am a mom of 2 college-aged children, and I've spent the last couple of years adjusting to my empty nest. In making that adjustment, I found the world of blogging and have called it home ever since.

I have a quirky sense of humor, and I love to find fun and laughter in everyday moments. Through my mom blog, I share my thoughts on parenting, family, life, and interesting products with my readers.

From me: I love her givaways and her Saturday Giveaway Parade!

Do You Shop the Thrift Stores? saved $352. on 2 items

regular $225 at JCPenneys - purchased for $4.99 Thrift Shop.

Recently a BlogFrog friend asked "Do you shop at Thrift Shops?"
LOL, YES! I can support a charity (Boys Youth Ranch, Goodwill, etc.)
and stay on my budget at the same time. I don't buy junk or dust catchers (nick nacks).
I buy necessities.
We have a great Thrift Shop in Lisbon, ND where I shop.
I had two great finds yesterday:

1. a heavy winter coat with hood, looked it up online, it's $225. regular price
at JCPenneys, my cost $4.99 in new condition
2. Shiatsu Massaging Cushion - $134.84 with tax and shipping at Home Depot -
my cost $1.99 in new condition
I saved a total of $352.84 just on these two items!

If I had purchased them at full price with a credit card
I could expect to pay on them for quite a while.
Instead I shopped Thrift, paid cash and saved enough
to buy a freezer! Yay!
